Branch Duo Standing Desk Review

Branch Duo Standing Desk Review

Branch was able to outdo himself with the new Duo Standing Desk. Not only is it cheaper than the original branch standing desk at a starting price of vs499 vs. 6 699, but it also means that I'll add an optional cable management tray However, the branch will leave enough space for a desk drawer with felt liners to keep your work accessories organized and safe. Choosing a frameless design

The branch also considers smaller workspaces by offering a 36x24-inch version of the Duo Standing Desk and a still fairly compact 48x24-inch version. Similarly, instead of the more traditional keypad on the first desk, the company includes a control paddle with an OLED screen with built-in reminders to encourage you to stand at work. Our Duo Standing Desk review is available on the Branch website for4499 orド599, depending on whether this is the best standing desk for your needs or with a similarly specced desk from another manufacturer.

Duo Standing Desk, depending on whether you choose a 36x24-inch configuration or a 48x24-inch configuration. It's a good idea. The desk leg has 4 different desktop styles and 2 color options, and the price is the same regardless of how the desk is configured. The branch also offers an optional cable organizer attached to the back of the desk for desk69, as well as a desk drawer that goes between the legs for optional99.

It is worth noting that Branch offers free shipping on all products. However, companies going to build their own office space with desks and office chairs can pay for the installation of white gloves, which includes delivery as well as assembly.

The duo standing desk has rounded corners and a cutout on the back for easy running of the cable to the top of the desk. The tabletop itself has a laminated MDF top and is available in woodgrain, walnut (pictured above), white and charcoal. The T-style legs of the duo standing desk are painted in steel, feature a 2-column lift system and can be white or charcoal.

Instead of a keypad with up and down arrows and four numbered preset buttons like a branch standing desk, the Duo standing desk has an OLED control paddle that pulls up to lift the desk or push it down. Control There are buttons on both sides of the paddle, the gear key on the right, double tap the paddle to switch between your preferred sitting and standing saved sitting and standing presets, while the Bell key on the left turns the desk standing reminder on or off (to raise the desk) or Lower (for lowering the desk).

In addition to the extra underfoot space, one of the reasons Branch adopted a frameless design when creating the Duo Standing Desk is that the drawer itself for the optional desk drawer is 23 inches long, 17 inches wide and 1.5 inches deep, making 1 of the best laptops a home accessory. It is large enough to hold along with other work. Felt lining also a nice touch

In addition to desk drawers, Branch also sells an optional cable organizer to attach to the back of the desk, so you can rest easy knowing that whatever you choose to store in the drawer is safe. It is flexible and can be installed either facing forward or backward. The round perforation of the branch cable organizer allows the company to use a zipper tie to secure one of the best surge protectors on site, though they also sell their own power strips.1 In addition to 3 AC outlets, the power strip of the branch has a USB-A port and a USB-C port.

The duo's standing desk, which was sent to Tom's guide for review from the Branch, arrived in two boxes. The big box contained the desktop, and the small box contained the desk legs, legs, and all the parts needed to assemble the desk. There were also a lot of additional packages to keep all the components of the desk safe during transportation.

Unpacking both boxes left me with a desktop, 2 legs, 2 legs, 2 desktop brackets, a control box, a control paddle, and all the bolts, screws, and cables needed to put everything together.

Assembling the Duo Standing Desk began by putting the legs into a desktop bracket and attaching them to the desktop using 10 screws on each bracket. From here, I used 4 screws to secure the desk foot to both feet. I also put a blanket before starting to not hurt the desktop.

As the Duo standing desk is frameless, the space between 2 legs is used to accommodate an optional desk drawer. It makes managing cables from both legs at the front of the desk a bit tricky, as well as controlling the paddle, but there is plenty of space on the side of the drawer that pushes them out of sight, however, it is highly recommended to install the desk drawer first before tidying up the cables. The drawer itself could also be easily attached to the underside of the desk using 2 screws on both sides.

Not everyone has a power drill at hand, so Branch also includes short screws that can be easily installed using a screwdriver. This feels good and certainly helps, as having to borrow a power drill on the way to put a standing desk together can be annoying.

Overall, it took less than 30 minutes to assemble the Duo Standing Desk and manage the cables connecting the legs and the control paddle to the control box. The branch instructions were clear and easy to follow. While the assembly process was not as simple as Vari's is with Vari Electric standing Desk and Vari Curve Electric standing desk, building this desk almost was also easier than assembling the original branch standing desk when placing the duo standing desk together.

After the Duo Standing Desk was finished assembling, I first tested it using the Surface Laptop Go2. With an optional drawer installed this desk will store your laptop, mouse and other accessories in the drawer and it's time to start your workday This is especially true if you opt for the smaller 36x24 inch version of the Duo standing desk.

I tested a large 48x24-inch version of the desk and wanted to make good use of that 275-pound weight limit, so I used the LG DualUp moni to store the LENOVO Chromebook Duet3, so all of this was on the desk, so I still had enough room.

Still, I still took advantage of desk drawers to store quite a lot of extra accessories when I wasn't using them. While there isn't as much storage space as you'll find in Realspace's smart electric height adjustable desk, the Duo standing desk drawer is not only wider, but the FlexiSpot EG8Comhar drawer is a must-have, especially if you want to keep a tidy workspace, so I wish it was included in the base version of the desk.

The branch's new cable management tray helps keep your desk free from clutter, but as you can see, the company's power strip that you came with in one is much smaller, has a bolt on the back and can be attached to the slot in the cable management tray. It may also be necessary to juggle things around to get any power bricks from a monitor or PC to fit well into the cable management tray.

When it comes to the transition to using a standing desk, it can be hard to remember to get up and move around from time to time. Fortunately, Branch's new control paddle has a reminder system to help with that. The default reminder time is set to 30 minutes, but you can also increase it to 40 minutes or 50 minutes. When the reminders are turned on, after the set time has passed, the control paddle vibrates to know that you need to sit down, take a break and stand a little bit. However, you can also turn these reminders off or choose not to use them if you want.

In addition to using Duo Standing Desk for the past few weeks, I also put it through several rounds of testing that I'd like to do with every standing desk I review. For starters, I measured the time it took for the desk to go from a sitting position to a standing position, and the duo were able to do this in just over 7 seconds. I also ran my coffee test where I put a full cup of coffee on the desk and moved it up and down. When I put the Duo Standing Desk through this test, I didn't spill a drop.

Duo Standing Desk proves how Branch's design process has improved over the past few years. Just like how the branch verve chair offers a number of improvements over the branch ergonomic chair, so too does the latest desk on the branch offer a much more streamlined assembly process when compared to the original branch permanent desk, and with an optional cable management tray and desk drawer, the duo truly shines. I love keeping that control box out of the way of the cable management tray, but this leaves extra room for desk drawers

the fact that it has created a smaller version of the duo for a branch-dense space, unlike other permanent desks that are often only available in larger sizes. The fact is another great improvement. I also like the way reusable inserts make the desk easier to disassemble and can be helpful when you need to move it. The Duo standing desk certainly gets a place inside the best standing desk and I'm looking forward to seeing how the branch improves to the design with the next desk.
