The Samsung Galaxy Watch7Ultra leak is showing off its design back to Square One

We are only a few weeks away from Samsung's big Unpacked event and the leaks just keep coming. Rumors have surfaced about the next-generation Samsung Galaxy Watch7 series to be on display, but now some of the design upgrades that may be in store

tipster OnLeaks recently teamed up with Smartprix to show off an unofficial rendering of the more expensive Galaxy Watch7Ultra model, and the design is taking a page from the Apple Watch Ultra. The ultra-tip Galaxy Watch7 is shown in a new form factor, which is a cross between a square and a circle. It sports the same round watch face, but has a more angular square body. If you want, squircle.

Bordering the screen on the Galaxy Watch7Ultra looks like the same rotating bezel on the Samsung Galaxy Watch6Classic. The display is said to have a diameter of 1.5 inches and again matches last year's classic model. Most interestingly, extra physical buttons can be found on the right side of the watch. Given that it is similar to the action buttons on Apple Watch Ultra, it may have similar features, allowing users to customize their workout, stopwatch, and other app shortcuts.

The leaked CAD rendering will also be larger speakers, a new health sensor array and more microphones to improve the clarity of the speakerphone, as Smartprix points out, Samsung has integrated the band more seamlessly into the body of the smartwatch to give it a more streamlined look. It seems to be. The button to remove the watchband also appears to be transitioning as well, with the Galaxy Watch6Classic as well as the watchband itself at the top and bottom of the sensory array from home.

It was on May 3 that we first heard rumors that Samsung was considering returning to the square design of the smartwatch. Angular form factor is reminiscent of the company's previous Galaxy Gear smartwatches. Its first was launched in 2013 with a 1.63-inch square super AMOLED display, similar to other smartwatches of the time.

Of course, it is important to take all this with a grain of salt for now. According to rumors, Samsung will hold an Unpacked event on 7/10, which could be when the company plans to unveil its smartwatch model. Although we could also see Samsung announce earlier at smaller events or release the watch in press releases to speed up deployment.

But it's not just smart watches. At the Unpacked event, Samsung can also unveil the next generation of foldable smartphones, including the Galaxy Fold6 and Galaxy Z Flip6. You can also see the Galaxy Ring, which has been rumored for a long time, and this also creates a lot of buzz.
