Thanks to shows like "The Simpsons", many people are familiar with adult animated shows.But many others follow the "Simpson's" lead — many who still resonate with the audience today. 

For those of comedy persuasion, you might be pleased to know that the "Rick and Morty" team will come out with a new animated show, "Undervale" on Netflix. If you are more seriously bent, you will be pleased to know that "Arcana" has a new series that will be released in 2024-11. Whether you want to laugh or be swept away by a fierce story line, Netflix has some of the best adult animated shows. Now is the time to brush up on some of that options while we wait for these new ones to launch.

"Castlevania: The Series created and written by Warren Ellis was, inspired by a Japanese video game of the same name. In it, Dracula (the voice of Graham McTavish) has just lost his wife, who was burned to the brink after being accused of witchcraft. He declares war on the villagers and countless people are slaughtered. Among those who remain is Trevor Belmont (the voice of Richard Armitage), a descendant of the family of monster hunters who are planning to fight Dracula.

This is definitely not a series for those with a weak heart. There's a lot of graphic content and you don't hesitate to pull the punch for your target audience. But if you are a fan of anime or love the idea that vampire hunters fight Dracula, then you do not want to miss this.

The series has something for almost everyone. It's an adult animated series that crosses genres, and each episode is a standalone story, ranging from science fiction to fantasy to horror. The creator of the show is Tim Miller, but the episodes are created by various animation studios. To taste what to expect, in 1 episode called "Three Robots," we watch 3 robots roam around the Earth.

But that episode only scratches the surface of what comes when you watch this series. He has won numerous awards, including 13 Primetime Emmy Awards. It's incredible to see the show bring together everyone from around the world to show off their talent in this format.

"Esoteric" is another series coming out in the new season, but we'll have to wait until later this year for release. Adapted from the video game of the same name, this Steampunk adventure focuses on the anxiety between the rich Piltover and the seedy underbelly, Zaun. It starts with the sisters Xi and Powder from Zaun, among other things, breaking into Piltover's house. Powder steals magic crystals. If she drops 1, it causes an explosion. It causes many to call her the Jinx. As the events unfold, more essential characters are revealed in Zaun's criminal world.

Whether you're familiar with video games or entering this series without prior knowledge, there's a lot to appreciate about it. It won the best game adaptation at the Game Awards 2022.

For "The Simpsons" fans out there, you'll want to check out "F Is for the Family" if you haven't already. Its co-creator, Michael Price, known for his work on the longest running animated series, joins alongside comedian Bill Burr to offer us a delicious blend of adult comedy and drama. The series is actually loosely inspired by Bar's childhood. It focuses on the ah, so familiar journey of how the Murphy family and middle-class families hold it together. Bali is also the voice of Patriarch Frank. 

This series takes us back to a bygone era. While set in the 70s, it is trying to get through the day, giving us a real taste of the hum-drum nature of the daily grind. There is a lot of humor, but there are also real moments that should be appreciated.
